Stewardship

Stewardship for the
Next Season

Redeemer began in 2008 with 92 adults and their children. By 2020, that number had grown to 374. Today, it's 790. In just the past five years, we've seen more growth than in the previous thirteen combined.

But this isn’t about numbers. It’s about what God has been building. We’ve planted churches. We’ve strengthened other churches. We’ve expanded partnerships across the country and around the world. We’ve raised up new leaders from within our own body. And we’ve watched God work in countless individual lives.

So what is God calling us to do next, with all he’s entrusted to us? In one of Jesus’ parables, a master entrusts resources to his servants and then returns to see what they’ve done with them. The faithful servants take what they’ve been given and invest it well. And the master says to them, “Well done.” The point of that parable isn’t just responsibility—it’s relationship. The servants wanted to honor their master, and that’s what we want: Not to do something impressive, but to be faithful with what we’ve been given.

God has entrusted us with people, resources, relationships, and opportunities. We now have the opportunity to steward those things faithfully in the next season, for His glory and for the good of others.

Common Questions

Well Done is an initiative to advance the gospel in Fuquay-Varina and around the world. It encompasses four key areas: Build, Partner, Go, and Share—expanding our facilities, strengthening church partnerships, planting new churches, and serving our local community.

Since 2020, Fuquay-Varina has grown at a rate of over 7% per year, representing almost 18,000 new residents. While our congregation has more than doubled, the percentage of our neighbors attending a gospel-preaching church is shrinking. We have the opportunity to steward what God has entrusted to us faithfully.

The Build component includes increasing worship center capacity by 30% (from 475 to 610), expanding lobby/common space by 40% (adding 1,000 sq ft), and growing paved parking capacity from 96 to 300 spaces.

Through Partner and Go, we will invest in church-planting churches' residencies at places like Redeemer Church in Apex, Glenrothes Baptist in Scotland, The Hill Church in San Diego, and Morgan Grace Church in Utah. We will also continue to support new church launches, including sending Redemption Grove Church to northeast Fuquay.

The Share component increases investment in local non-profit partners including Hand of Hope Pregnancy Center, With Love from Jesus, Cypress View Children's Home, and Fuquay-Varina Middle School's food pantry. We will also increase our practical care for our neighbors immediately surrounding our building.

We are asking everyone at Redeemer to pray, engage, and commit to giving in new ways in this season. Consider how you can use your time, energy, and finances more intentionally to hear the master's "Well done" on the last day.
